Corpus Christi Ballet will present Remembrances, a ballet in memory of the Victims of the Holocaust, on April 26 and 27, 2014 at the Selena Auditorium in the American Bank Center. Remembrances, conceived and choreographed by Brian Honigbaum, captures the story of the Holocaust through the eyes of a single family. Honigbaum choreographed this historic work in memory of the six million people who died in the Holocaust. His inspiration came from survivor, Michael Vogel, who survived over two years in Auschwitz, one of the most deadly concentration camps. The ballet relates the story of the Holocaust chronologically, inclucing such events as Kristallnacht, the Ghettos, the Death Train, and the Gas Chambers. The emotional choreography and music presented in this production will allow the audience to experience the phyical, mental, and emotional struggle of this horrible time. Don't miss this opportunity to experience this historic event through the art of dance.
